Project Feature: Yuni Wa
We recently wrapped up a rebranding project for multi-genre producer, lyrist, and DJ artist: Yuni Wa. Yuni Wa was looking for a fresh image and aesthetic that perfectly resonated with him and his music, and we here at Creative Squeeze were honored with the task to deliver that new look.
For the logo concept, we created Japanese traditional calligraphy for the letters Y and W. As far as the branding voice goes, the letters “ni” inside the Yuni Wa name highlight and represent “omnipotent,” a key descriptor of Yuni Wa’s voice and personality which means having unlimited power or authority. Omnipotent is a key descriptor that doesn’t just represent Yuni Wa’s voice, but also Yuni Wa’s overall music which transcends genres.
Once we finalized the logo design, we created different variations of artwork and banners to use for different social media and web platforms Yuni Wa’s brand is present in. The key for a successful branding campaign is to establish a consistent foundation so the the brand aesthetic is cohesive across all mediums and stays consistent over the course of time.
